Before I even started looking for wedding dresses, I was dead set on wearing a birdcage veil. They are so timeless and elegant, yet simple and understated and totally old-Hollywood.

When I selected a more modern dress, the birdcage veil idea didn't seem to fit. I debated whether or not to even wear a veil but decided on wearing a veil for the ceremony and then taking it out for the reception.

Love the headband.

I decided to incorporate aspects of the birdcage veil, by selecting flower hairclip that made of goose and ostrich feathers with a vintage pearl and crystal center from LoBoheme on Etsy- a lovely design team in San Diego (all of the pictures shown are her pieces). The last picture is the piece I ordered, The Maude.
