Pumping Iron


Like many women, my wedding was a big motivator for me to work on achieving several fitness goals. This past spring, a friend and I had a personal trainer together and we trained once a week for six months. Our trainer really helped me become comfortable lifting weights and I'm now able do all of the same circuits on my own now. In place of the money I was spending on a trainer, I recently decided to switch gyms and start working out at Equinox.

Even though our wedding is over, I'm actually more motivated than I ever have been to work out. These are my fall fitness goals:

  1. Lift weights at least once a week for an hour.
  2. Try one new workout class each month. 
  3. Run a 10K by November. 
  4. No excuses! Hit the gym at least 4 times a week for cardio.

I was training to run a 10K in September and now I have a stress fracture. Wah wahhhhhhh. So I'm looking at pool memberships for the next month or two.
