Phone Line

A few years ago, I decided that I would never have a need for a land-line phone. Lately, I've been reconsidering that idea. My iPhone (3GS) is notorious for dropping phone calls and it's been getting worse, especially at home. Also, I'm pretty bad about keeping my phone charged and often miss calls when my phone runs out of juice and turns off.

I love this refurbished phone from Etsy seller Fishbonedeco. I remember I had one just like it when I was little, although it wasn't pink. It's definitely not the most practical of phones to get in 2010, but I think it's so cute and nostalgic.

Do you have a land-line phone?

As an old telecom nerd, I have to correct you: this is not a picture of a rotary phone. Here is a link to one: http//
You've got an analog landline phone there, but it is definitely push button. Just call me Ma Bell!

Oh, duh! Rotaries have a dial. I was thinking vintage phones and rotary came to mind. Usually, I don't blog this late! :)

Several years ago I bought a vintage French rotary phone at Lawrence Antique Mall. I want a landline just so I can use it for real instead of just having it as decor!

I would totally use this phone for real AND it would be cute. I'm not sure Brian agrees. :) Do you remember when when wireless phones became such a big deal? I think I was right around the age where I could "talk" on the phone for hours about nothing.
