Recipe: Kathleen's Best Banana Bread

I absolutely love banana bread so it was fun to try my friend Kathleen's recipe. The chocolate drizzle made for a yummy and sweet touch!

Best Banana Bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup mashed bananas
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream

1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt

Chocolate drizzle:
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 Tbs butter

Beat together butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and bananas. Stir in remaining ingredients, until dry ingredients are just moistened. Do not overmix.

Divide batter between 2 greased lightly floured 8x4" loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Allow to cool in pans for 15 minutes and then continue to cool on a rack. When cool, drizzle with chocolate glaze (combine chocolate chips and butter, melt and stir).
