Bite Off More Than You Can Chew Cookies
Hi friends. It's been an exceptionally hectic week for me and much to my dismay, blogging has been put on the back burner. Not to worry though, things should get back to normal soon!

Sparkle Letters DIY
Ever since I found these glitter banners with fringe, I've wanted to make this project a DIY. I went to my local craft store and found some fun fringe for about $5 a yard. But what about those cool glitter letters? Martha Stewart came to my rescue today with her Craft of the Day - Sparkle Script Letters.
I'm going to make this a Christmas in July craft. Stay tuned for my final product!

Cherry Blossom Centennial Stamps
Every day this week, USPS is going to give a peek at the new stamps that will be released in 2012. The first set is four stamps making up a panoramic view of cherry blossom trees lining Washington D.C. The stamps commemorate the centennial gifting of more than 3,000 Cherry Blossom trees to from Tokyo to Washington D.C.
If you're a fellow philatelist like me, you can follow along for the daily reveal at Beyond the Perf.
Keeping Cool in the Pool
It's the middle of July, so forgive me for stating the obvious, but it sure is hot. The current Texas temperatures are being compared to the summer of 1980, so this is the biggest scorcher I've ever experienced. There's not much more you can do than stay inside, or keep cool in the pool. Preferably sporting a swim cap on a swan raft.

Harry Potter Color Palette
Harry Potter fans: What's your favorite color? Would you add any colors to this palette? I'm surprised it doesn't include Muggle - maybe a deep mauve?

Left My Heart in San Francisco
I'm headed to San Francisco for the day to explore before heading
to a bachelorette party in wine country over the weekend. San Francisco
has always been one of my favorite cities and now even more especially because it's where my husband proposed!

Monday Motivation: Give Back, Get Lovely Lashes
I was happy to see the dazzling Mad Men star Christina Hendricks featured on the recent cover of Lucky because she is the new spokeswoman for a campaign that I was a part of last year - the Latisse Wishes Challenge. The campaign benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is an organization near and dear to my heart that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Last summer I chronicled my progress while using Latisse with a team of three other women, led by the Today Show style editor Bobbi Thomas. The Latisse Wishes Challenge ended up raising $413,884 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which was inclusive of a $250,000 donation match from Latisse.
If you make a a $20 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, you will receive a free trial certificate for Latisse. Hello lush lashes!
