Dress Exchange Party

Have you ever spent good money on a special occasion dress, only to wear it a few times (maybe even just once), and then it ends up sitting in your closet season after season?

A few friends hosted a Dress Exchange Party this weekend and had each guest bring a dress or two to exchange. I took an black lace dress from White House Black Market and walked away with some lovelies including a gorgeous gold Shoshanna dress and a black BCBG cotton wrap dress.

There were some hilarious stories about where some of the dresses had been previously worn. It's great that I now have some new-to-me dresses without spending any money.

This kind of party would be also be fun to do with other accessories too - maybe a purse or costume jewelry swap!

This is brilliant. I must host one of these parties soon. It gives a fresh change up to your wardrobe with no cost! :)

Anna, let me know if you do it! It would be super easy to organize. I forgot to mention that the hosts had fun little cookies shaped like dresses.
