Basketball in The Big Easy

As you can probably tell, I get really excited about Kansas basketball and couldn't help but share it with you. My husband and I took a fun-filled trip to New Orleans for the past few days to watch our beloved Jayhawks play in the Final Four.

We spent most days bopping around Bourbon Street and enjoying an enormous amount of really good food. The highlight was brunch at Stanley in Jackson Square. The next time you are in New Orleans, it is an absolute must! Below is the Breaux Bridge Benedict.

Are you drooling? Another great place that we ate at was Felix's. It's right across from the famous Acme Oyster House (the line was an hour long), but Felix's was just as good.

One of my favorite parts about the trip was enjoying jazz music at various venues along Frenchmen Street. This local spot was a breath of fresh air after spending too much time on Bourbon Street. There's only so many daiquiris-to-go this girl can handle.

Although we didn't win the championship game on Monday, it didn't stop us from letting the good times roll. Geaux Jayhawks!
