Summer, Summer, Summertime — Time to Sit Back and Unwind

After our trip, battling a terrible ear infection, attending an educator conference, and now cooking in 100 degree+ temperatures, it's time to enjoy a few lazy summer days before getting into gear with some new projects. It doesn't get much better than waking up to watch the Today Show with my coffee, hanging out with my pup, enjoying a mid-morning workout when no one else is at the gym, and having afternoon dates with my teacher girlfriends. I can only enjoy this laziness for a few days though because my idle mind is most certainly the devil's workshop. Is it just me, or does anyone else tend to eat, drink, and spend way more money when you're not working? It's so much fun, but no bueno.

Monday was an especially sweet summer day as we celebrated my friend Katherine's birthday. She recently moved back to Dallas so we made a long weekend out of celebrating. Plans for the rest of the week include more pool time, shopping, and maybe some Magic Mike. For those of you behind a desk this week, happy hump day! The weekend is almost here.

Corrina, I'm sorry! You can throw this post back in my face at the end of August, okay? :)
