Remember that post that you may have slightly hated me for just two short months ago? Well, it's officially time you can throw it back in my face. After a pretty stellar summer break, I am back in the teaching game and ready to roll for the new school year. Last week was filled with meetings and preparation for the kids to head back to school today. Now that it's back to reality, I can now say things like "case of the Mondays, "Hump Day", and "TGIF" and truly mean it.
As an educator, I'm constantly encouraging my students to set goals for themselves. One of my goals this year is to come up with solutions rather than complaints. It's easy to get caught up in the complaining game, but how far does that get you? I think we all know the answer to that. Complaining takes such a toxic toll on my mind and body that I need to make more of a concerted effort to think outside the box for solutions to fix said complaints. I love a good vent sesh, but let's face it, it's just a temporary fix. It's time to think outside the box to make things better.
