The good folks at Pinkberry found out I like treats of the frozen variety and recently invited me to try out their new Chocolate Hazelnut Frozen Yogurt. It was pretty much a no-brainer that I'd be there as soon as possible. I was greeted with a dozen toppings to top on their latest fro-yo flavor.
Now normally I'd put all of those toppings in one cup, but I refrained myself in order to enjoy the custom creations that Pinkberry has created to go with their Chocolate Hazelnut flavor.
The "Trio" is made with Nutella, strawberries, and bananas and is a nice blend of fruit and the world's most famous hazelnut spread. The second round I enjoyed was Chocolate Hazelnut "Decadence" which is topped with dark chocolate crisps and sunflower seeds. I would have never thought to put sunflower seeds on fro-yo until I tried this combination but I will definitely try it again in the future so long as it's paired with chocolate of some sort. The "Crunch", my third tasting, was the healthiest of the bunch and made with honey almond granola, banana, and almonds. I honestly wouldn't feel all that guilty for having this for a cheat breakfast. My last and favorite combination, the "Truffle", was made up of decadent Italian milk chocolate crunch and strawberries. I ended up having a huge bowl of it after the tasting and enjoyed every single spoonful until the bottom of the bowl (see picture below for the before picture).
Thanks for having me, Pinkberry! I'll be back soon.
