Happy Gotcha Day, Tex!
Four years ago today, my husband called to tell me that there was an posting at his office for a dog named Tex who needed a good home.
"What kind of dog is he?" I asked.
"A Catahoula Leopard Dog and something else," he replied.
"A Catahoulawhata?" I asked, interested in this mysterious sounding breed that I had never heard of before.
That night, we visited the foster family to meet Mr. Tex. Although he seemed like a nice dog, I was slightly skeptical that we'd be a good fit for him considering that he was an adult dog and we didn't know much of his background. Although still a bit hesitant, I gave the go-ahead and Tex was our new, two year old, mutt of a fur baby the next day. I haven't regretted one moment since, even if he sheds everywhere and enjoys eating paper.
Happy Gotcha Day, Tex! You are my furriest BFF and I love you to pieces.
