Monday Motivation — Enjoying Our Earth.

"To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment." - Jane Austen

Happy Earth Day. Our world is simply beautiful.

I would like to start recycling this year. Does anyone have any tips for newbies with limited space?

How do you limit your carbon footprint?

Can you tell I'm catching up on your blog? :) David has turned me into an obsessive recycler. We just keep a medium sized tupperware, with easy flip tops so you can open it quick, right by the dog food bin. We have recycling bins at a community center down the street, so we just take it there to empty a couple times a week on the way home from work. You can seriously recycle so much more than you think. We barely have a bag of trash a week. That's my attempt at reducing the carbon footprint!

That's a great idea. I feel like we are constantly taking out the trash and I know so much of it could be recycled. We're going to start small. Thanks!

I love to recycle! I have been known to dig recyclables out of the trash and put them in the "correct" bin :) I keep a paper bag by the trash can, and use for any bottles/cans/paper etc., its easy and not in the way in our small kitchen. Good luck on your small start!
