The Future Mrs. Caton

My graphic design skills have been in hibernation for nearly ten years but I recently oiled up my old craft to whip up Molly's bachelorette party invites. I kind of miss those days.

Molly's fiancĂ© Jason designed my bachelorette party invites so I thought it would be fun to design hers myself. After all, I did receive an honorable mention in newsmagazine layout design at a high school journalism conference once. So yeah, I've got skills. I'm not quite Stamped Paper Co. but maybe one day I'll get there. 10,000 hours...

What do you think?

Highlights of the party in Kansas City included lots of laughs, pedicures, lingerie, Cupcake A La Mode, champagne, Kanye and Flavor Flav flair, tapas, a speakeasy, and general shenanigans.

Um, love the invites. What fonts did you use? I'm doing graphic design now at my job so I'm becoming slightly obsessed with fonts and other pretty things... :)

Thanks, Jax! I used three different typefaces for this. The italic text is Industrial (same as the Cirque du Sweet header). The scripty one is Brannboll. I was inspired by Rifle Paper Co. and Kate Spade to use Futura, the bold sans-serif. I hope that helps! What have you been working on?

First off, I wish I could change it to not read Jax, I'll get on that :) At the country club I work for now, I design the newsletter and all of the event and membership promotions. So a bunch of random stuff. I'm by no means wonderful, but I'm getting better!
