It's been a year since our Europe trip and I recently realized that there were still a few spots that I had yet to fill you in about. In Amsterdam, La Perla Pizze, Pancakes! Amsterdam, Juice and Salad Cafe, and our morning breakfasts at the Mauro Mansion were all top-notch, but how could I have possibly forgotten to tell you about the chocolate from Pucinni Bomboni? For shame.
The shop owner requested that I didn't take any pictures but after I purchased a decent chunk of chocolate, she said I could take one or two pictures. Such pressure. Everything was so beautiful and delicious. The calvados caught my eye since I had never seen truffles like this before. I learned that calvados is French brandy made with apples that pairs well with white chocolate. Yum!
I wanted to get a picture of the full store but I knew I couldn't risk my two shots. You'll simply have to take my word that Puccini is likely the most delightful chocolate spot in all of Amsterdam. It's not cheap but it's definitely worth your euros on a truffle or two (or in my case, six).
