The handcrafted chocolates, sweets, and other confections at Thierry in Vancouver would make even the finest of Paris pâtisseries do a double take. This passionfruit mousse with gel ée (jelly) with white genoise (simple sponge cake) lined with mini-macarons and a raspberry on top made my heart skip a beat. Isn't she a beauty? This was the perfect late night treat alongside a glass of bubbly.
The decadent Liquid Chocolate is dark chocolate served warm. Throughout it's rich cultural history the purpose of this drink is to "warm the soul." Brian enjoyed it sans dessert (although he let me have a few sips after his soul was warmed, of course).
If you're in downtown Vancouver, this is your must-stop sweets shop. It's a lovely cafe that's open until midnight to satisfy your late-night sweet tooth cravings.
