Chicago — Hub 51

For no valid reason, I'm a bit skeptical of restaurants that offer a multitude of specialties. When friends Aimee and Catherine both separately suggested Hub 51 as a dinner spot in Chicago, I changed my tune. Aimee said that the chicken nachos were a must and Catherine mentioned they had really good sushi. Additionally, dessert foodies rave about their Carrot Cake.

I can't say no to nachos and cake, and late-night half price sushi is certainly appealing. So if the gal who had the best wedding food I've ever had and a former Miss Illinois USA give it the thumbs up, how could we go wrong?

The chicken nachos were everything nachos should be and more. Although I was completely stuffed after devouring the aforementioned nachos AND a Tuna and Thai Basil sushi roll, out comes a divine piece of Martha's Special Occasion Carrot Cake on the house. Fine, twist my arm.

Let's just say the calorie count wasn't exactly that of Amy's Healthy Carrot Cake Cupcakes. Was it worth every bite? You betcha.

Go to Hub 51 for a upscale casual atmosphere, good drinks, and a menu that's sure to please everyone in your party.
