My future children will never get to experience homemade Rice Krispies now that I've discovered a life changing twist on the old classic. Just add caramel and sweetened condensed milk to the equation. Thanks to Brian's cousin Pam (she made a similar version last Christmas that I couldn't get out of my head) and A Farm Girl Dabbles for the inspiration. I skipped the butter and added pumpkin spice to my caramel mixture, because, well, 'tis the season of pumpkin spice.
They are ooey, gooey Marshmallow Caramel Rice Krispies Puffs are best enjoyed chilled a bit. My blue checkered plate is from Fishs Edy (a fun odds and ends kitchen shop) in NYC.
